The Nhava Sheva Container Terminal handles nearly 2.5 million TEUs annually across more than 15 kilometres of operational yards. Existing workshop facilities were capable of repairing only five trucks per day, while tyre failures, lubrication delays and equipment breakdowns caused significant operational disruptions.
Long repair response times of nearly 90 minutes, combined with high humidity, monsoon conditions and continuous port operations, resulted in increased downtime, reduced productivity and higher maintenance costs. The client required a rugged Mobile Service Van capable of providing instant on-site repairs, tyre inflation, grease lubrication, oil lubrication, oil top-up and preventive maintenance directly within the terminal.
Our Solution
VR Engineering Solutions deployed 28 Mobile Service Vans strategically across container yards, truck depots, crane operating zones and loading areas, covering approximately 350,000 square metres of the terminal.
